Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park, Malvern East

Cricket wicket extension

Turfcare was engaged to extend the turf cricket wicket at Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park in Malvern East from 1 to 5 wicket tables, allowing for rotation of use and continual play at the same ground during the cricket season.

Excavation began in December 2017 and from there the works involved placement and levelling of three layers – crushed rock, Merri Creek soil and loam. As this is a wicket table Turfcare knew that precision was the key!

The final step was laying washed Santa Ana turf on the wicket and surrounds and the extension was complete, the expansion was ready for play for the 2018 cricket season.
